Thanksgiving is a celebration of family, friends, and, of course, plenty of delicious food! But Thanksgiving festivities can also create preventable hazards quicker than your leftovers get cold. We offer these six common-sense reminders to ensure you enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Local kids will soon have more ways to climb, slide, and swing at Castlegate, Merry Oaks, and Southern Oaks parks after the College Station City Council unanimously approved upgrades this week. The improvements are expected to begin in late February or early March and be completed in April, weather permitting.
A beloved holiday tradition comes alive with College Station's Christmas in the Park event on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Beachy Central Park. The Jingle Bell Fun Run and College Station Christmas Parade end at the park, where Mayor John Nichols will turn on the holiday lights at 6 p.m., to kick off a night of festive activities.
