College Station CodeFest

Join us to create ideas, collaborate, innovate, design and build solutions!

Ages 15+ are welcome to participate in a 24-hour CodeFest April 4th-5th, 2020 at the Meyer Senior and Community Center. It's free and all experience levels are welcome!

Teams should consists of 4-5 participants. If you do not have a team, we can help you find one during the event.

If you have already registered and want to print out and sign the release form to make your check-in process a little easier and faster, please print out the appropriate form below. Please note that if you are under 18 you will need to have your release form signed by a parent or guardian.

Participant Requirements

  • Participants must be at least 15 years old.
  • A suggested team size is about 4 people.
  • Don't have a team? No worries! We help individuals form or join teams before the event begins.

Event Rules

  • All design elements, code, etc. for your project must be created during the event.
  • Participants are encouraged to use familiar tools and frameworks.
  • Participants may plan and discuss the problems with your team ahead of time (if on a team), but coding may not begin in advance of CodeFest.
  • The presenting teams are determined by an initial round of judging that will take place one hour before submissions are due.
  • The top ten teams will present the project in the final round of judging at the end of CodeFest.
  • Teams that make it to the final round will have up to 3 minutes to present their projects to the judges.
  • The prizes not specified for a certain placement may be awarded on the sole decision of the judges.
  • At least one team member must be physically present during sign-in and during presentations to the judges during the assigned time.
  • Projects must be submitted by 11:00am on April 5th, 2020.

Code of Conduct

  • All participants must conduct themselves professionally and adhere to the City’s policies and rules and sign CodeFest release.
  • Treat all CodeFest participants, sponsors, organizers and judges with respect.
  • Participants will be disqualified and asked to leave the venue at the City’s sole discretion if they violate any City policies or regulations, or if participants disrupt the event or exhibit any behavior that may insult, discriminate or harass anyone in any way.
