COVID-19: What we are doing

EXECUTIVE ORDER GA-34

Gov. Abbott's latest executive order went into effect on March 10. This order rescinds most of the Governor's earlier executive orders related to COVID-19. Here are some key points:

  • Statewide requirement of face coverings has been rescinded.

  • Individuals are strongly encouraged to continue wearing masks indoors when adequate physical distancing is not possible.

  • All businesses of any type may open to 100% capacity.

  • Businesses and other establishments may still limit capacity and require employees/visitors to wear face coverings as well as other safety protocols at their own discretion.

  • If COVID-19 hospitalizations get above 15% of the hospital bed capacity in a region for seven consecutive days – a county judge is the only elected official who may prescribe mitigation strategies such as requiring businesses to go as low as 50% occupancy, but no mask requirement
City of College Station staff will continue to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, and wash/sanitize hands frequently. Visitors to our facilities are encouraged to do the same.

VACCINATION HUB

Brazos County has a new Vaccination Hub website, BrazosHub.com, where individuals who meet the vaccine criteria can schedule an appointment based on availabilities. Weekly availabilities will be posted on Fridays at 10 a.m. The number of appointments available each week are dependent upon the allocation of vaccines by the state.
