The complicated process of buying a home is filled with opportunities to waste hard-earned cash or precious time due to nothing more than a lack of understanding. In fact, it’s probably the most complex purchase most people will ever make. To put it in baseball terms, buying a house is the World Series of purchases, and getting educated about the process before embarking on the journey can save you time, money — and heartache.
If you are thinking about becoming a homeowner, the Homebuyer Education Course will equip you with the knowledge you need to make wise and informed decisions. The NeighborWorks America-approved curriculum includes five topics:
• Are you ready to buy a home?
• Managing your money
• Obtaining a mortgage loan
• Shopping for a home
• Protecting your investment
This four-day course is held on Mondays from 6-7:30 p.m. It's $20 if you'd like a course book. Be sure to attend all four unique sessions to obtain a certificate!
