The City of College Station’s contractor will replace the traffic bollards in the Northgate District starting as early as Tuesday. The project is expected to be complete by the end of January.
Parking on the surface lot, adjacent to Church Avenue, will be free from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Dec. 27 until Thursday, Jan. 11.
The bollards will be replaced on the College Main Promenade at Patricia Street and University Drive where pedestrian access through the promenade will be modified to ensure safety and allow the work to be finished as quickly as possible. One lane of westbound University Drive will be closed during this portion of the construction.
Bollards at the intersections of College Main/Church Avenue and Patricia Street/Lodge will be replaced at the same time to complete construction sooner. The intersections will be closed to vehicle traffic until the replacement is complete.
