As home to the University of Texas A&M Aggies, College Station is commonly referred to as Aggieland. Thanks to the recent athletic tourism boom, another nickname may become just as appropriate: the Center of Texas Sports.

College Station’s central location in the Lone Star State, along with its premier sports venues, has made it a preferred site for a variety of state, regional and national championship events. Our assets include not only the cities of College Station and Bryan but also Texas A&M University. Local organizations and citizen-run groups also play a vital role and have helped transform our sports tourism landscape. Sports tourism is a highly competitive industry, and we continually work to enhance the quality of our services to be able to attract more and larger events in the future.
