The Administrative Services Bureau includes many different divisions within the department that supplement and enhance the overall operations of the department. These include the Information Services Division, the Communications Division, the Holding Facility, the Support Services Division and Technical Services. The Administrative Services Bureau is under the command of Assistant Chief Chuck Fleeger.
The Information Services Division is comprised of the Records and Evidence sections. In the Records section, there are three records technicians and two senior records technicians. Records personnel handle data entry, processing of reports, quality control of police reports, and requests for public information.
The Communications Division is responsible for answering emergency calls, taking citizen requests for service, dispatching patrol units, fire apparatus and emergency medical services to include the Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) function.
Personnel in the holding facility are responsible for intake and release of prisoners placed into the department’s jail. They work closely with officers from Uniformed Patrol and the Criminal Investigations Division as well as the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.
The Support Services Division consists of Animal Control Services, Fleet Services, and the Quartermaster. Personnel worked to coordinate the issuance and maintenance of all departmental equipment and vehicles. Animal control officers respond to all animal related calls within the city and works closely with the Aggieland Humane Society.
The Technical Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, implementing, training and troubleshooting all computer-related issues within the Police Department building and in police vehicles.
