The College Station Parks & Recreation Department is offering a two-day Wilderness & Remote First Certification Course on Oct. 13 and 20 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Lick Creek Nature Center.
You'll learn advanced skills to be used in emergency situations when help may be too far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a digital certificate for Wilderness and Remote First Aid valid for two years.
Participants must have a current adult CPR/AED certification and be 14 years old. Course fee is $150 and registration is required.
